Meet Dr. Sreemdevi, MD
Dr. Sreemdevi Ramakrishnan is a distinguished Board-certified Pediatrician with over 15 years of experience in the field. After completing her residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria, where she excelled as Chief Resident, she has become renowned for her holistic approach to pediatric care. Emphasizing the philosophy that “Food is medicine, and medicine is food,” Dr. Ramakrishnan integrates diet and nutrition into her treatments, especially for allergies, asthma, and ADHD, aiming to enhance childhood development and nutrition.
Her proactive stance on preventive care through nutritional guidance has set her apart in her field. Dr. Ramakrishnan’s commitment to excellence was recognized when she became the inaugural recipient of the Excellence in Asthma Care Blue Ribbon Award in Illinois. In 2018, she founded Pediatric Associates of Frisco, and she was later nominated for the Best Pediatrician in Dallas by D Magazine in 2023. Her passion for pediatric healthcare led to the creation of the ThriveKids Foundation in 2024, aiming to address children’s health needs, engage the community, and raise awareness. Dr. Sree resides in Frisco with her family and three children, continuing her mission to foster health and well-being from the early stages of life.

What is the educational and professional background of Dr. Sreemdevi, MD?
Dr. Sree completed her Pediatric Residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria, Illinois. She served as Chief Resident of Pediatrics in 2007 and was honored with the Outstanding Chief Resident of the Year award. She then established a thriving outpatient pediatric practice in the Chicago area. Alongside this, she worked as a pediatric hospitalist, managed newborns in Level 1 and 2 NICUs, and served as Medical Director of Walter Lawson Children’s Home, caring for over a hundred children with various chronic and complex health conditions. In 2016, Dr. Sree and her family relocated to Texas, where she joined Texas Health Hospital before moving to Frisco in 2017.
