Medical care for newborns, children, and adolescents is very different than treating adults. So, your family needs an experienced doctor who specializes in pediatric medicine to make sure that your child receives the best pediatric care. Some of the most common questions that we are asked here at Pediatric Associates of Frisco are:
Which health insurances do you accept?
We take many health insurances, please see our list and if you don’t happen to see your insurance listed, please give us a call and we will figure out together if your insurance is accepted. Our clinic accepts most major insurances, including Aetna, Humana, Cigna, and BlueCross BlueShield of Texas. Visit our insurance page for a full list of insurances we take.
Do you treat newborn babies?
Absolutely! We understand that finding a pediatrician that you can trust for your newborn baby is rather difficult for parents. We want to make sure that you are fully involved in your child’s health, and we will walk you through every step that we take in treating your child. Even the healthiest of babies require newborn care. Their weight will be recorded, head circumference will be measured, belly button healing is also monitored, critical vaccinations will be administered, and visual checks are given to rule out any visible conditions. Our physician will ask you some questions about your labor and delivery, especially regarding any complications that occurred, and how the baby currently eats and sleeps. Dr. Sree will make sure to address any concerns you have regarding your newborns’ health. If you are a new parent, she will be sure to include information about any lack of appetite, crying, sleeping, and diaper rashes.
Do you test for allergies?
Yes, we do. Allergies are not only uncomfortable, some can cause life-threatening reactions. Understanding your child’s allergies is an important step toward ensuring you can help keep them safe and healthy. Allergy testing is an effective process by which your child’s pediatrician can pinpoint and understand their allergies in order to provide customized and targeted treatment. There are two primary methods of allergy testing, blood tests and skin prick tests. Both of these methods are effective for determining your child’s exact needs and can be performed easily in our office. Adjusting to allergies can be tough throughout the year, especially for children since their immune systems are not as strong as adults. At Pediatric Associates of Frisco, our pediatric allergy doctors and medical professionals have the knowledge and equipment needed to keep your child healthy and safe from allergies throughout the entire year. Finding the right treatment and coming up with a strategic prevention strategy for your child is our top priority.
